20 Day Challenge #1: Genesis 24

biblejournaling8Read through the chapter and then go over it again and write out what you notice in your notebook. The first challenge is experimenting with bible journaling. You can use the following to guide you if you wish. If you don’t like drawing, then just write out the words in appropriate sizes or shapes.

Genesis 24:

  • Write out, in your own words, what Abraham made his servant promise to do.
  • Write out any thoughts you might have about why Abraham didn’t want Isaac to marry a Canaanite woman.
  • Draw the servant and his ten camels. Write out what he prayed to God.
  • Draw a water jar. Did you know that camels can drink many gallons of water in one go? Can you imagine how many times would she have had to fill her jar?
  • Draw what the servant gave to her for giving him water.
  • Write out who she said she was.
  • Write out the servants response in verse 27.
  • Write out Rebekah’s response when asked if she would go with the man.
  • Write out what Isaac’s response was to Rebekah.

  1. This is such a neat site! I love the idea of a guided study as you read through the chapters. I love the story in Genesis 24 and am currently blogging about it on my blog Superstarnat.com
Glad I came across your site. I think I might be using some of your challenge guides. 🙂
