20 Day Challenge #1: Genesis 40 & 41

biblejournaling15Read through the chapter and then go over it again and write out what you notice in your notebook. The first challenge is experimenting with bible journaling. You can use the following to guide you if you wish. If you don’t like drawing, then just write out the words in appropriate sizes or shapes.

Genesis 40:

  • Draw the cupbearer and the baker and their dreams.
  • Write out a summary of the interpretation Joseph gives to them.
  • Write out what Joseph asks the cupbearer to do when he gets out of prison.
  • Write out what the cupbearer did in verse 23.

Genesis 41:

  • Draw Pharaoh’s dream.
  • Write out who Joseph gives the credit to for interpreting dreams.
  • Write out the interpretation Joseph gives to Pharaoh.
  • Write out Joseph’s recommendation to Pharaoh.
  • Draw Joseph in his new position and finery.
  • Draw a small circle and put in it how old Joseph is now.
  • Draw the piles of grain.
  • Write out what happened in verse 57.
